Since the inception Medical Laboratory Technology Certificate Course of 1 1/2 yrs duration was started in our institute, formally the name of the institute was Regional Paramedical and Nursing Training Institute (RP&NTI), which is then rechristened as Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing (RIPAN) but later added the word Sciences and named as Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (RIPANS). But as the central government had taken over this institute, North Eastern Council was added and therefore we may confidently says that Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (North Eastern Council) (RIPANS (NEC) and then finally to Regional Institute of Paramedical And Nursing Sciences (Government of India)
The first batches were admitted in the month of April - May 1996. Now we are running it's 10th year of its dedicated series to prepare Paramedical Man-powers all over India in general and the North Eastern region in particular.
